Not to sound like “love can conquer hate” but you will never get anywhere judging humanity as a whole based on attitudes and action from oppressive classes. All you will do is despair and lose your capacity for empathy and become misanthropic. And that won’t make anything better. Humans aren’t garbage because [insert oppressive class here] are exploitative and greedy in their violence toward other people. We have to hold on to the idea that there are more of us who want good things for each other and absolutely shun and depower those who would seek to perpetuate harm on interpersonal and systemic levels.
So keep pressing forward, keep seeking the pockets of people who are working toward that Greater Good. Let us prop each other up as we look to make this world better than we found it. And don’t be afraid to tear down a few oppressive systems along the way.
